The FGCC recommends a number of eateries (especially for breakfasts), B&B’s and hosteleries along trails that we have ridden on the South Downs, Isle of Wight, New Forest, C2C and so on.
To be recommended on this website is an indication of excellence, level of which is indicated by the number of llamas accredited to each – 5 llamas being of the highest standard.
So to all prospective B&B’s and Hosteleries please be aware that a FGCC accreditation team might be in your area at any time!
1. The Ghurka Tandoori, Offington, Worthing
Sadly this venue was the victim of a fire started in a flat in the block of buildings that housed this fine establishment. We hope that at some stage we will see it’s return to being the place where our annual dinner takes place.
(Former commentary on the Gurkha was as follows “The first to be recommended was this splendid Nepalese Restaurant where Gentlemen of the FGCC gather each year for a reflection on great achievements of the previous year.
Location for our annual awards ceremony – Not Gala Night – this prestigious location has rightly received a certificate of approbation for the warm welcome and fine service provided. Gurkha certificate“)
2. Parkhead Station House, Stanhope Moor, Co. Durham
A very welcoming B&B in this remote and wonderful location – a must for anyone on the off-road section of the C2C.
